Our Parish Journey

✝️ 1976 — Spiritual Beginning

Baselius Paulose II visited Pune and celebrated the Holy Service, inspiring the faithful.
He appointed Rev. Fr. Abraham Volioparambil and A. A. Mathews to guide the community.
Fr. Mathews later became the parish Vicar.

🏡 1979 — Parish Organization & Land Purchase

Formation of St. Mary's Society.
First portion of land purchased through the sacrifices and support of parish members.

🌍 1980 — Building the Parsonage

Funds raised locally and from Gulf supporters enabled construction of the parish house.

🪨 1983 — Foundation of the Church

Foundation stone laid by the Catholicos along with Diocesan Metropolitan Thomas Mor Theophilos, marking the beginning of the church building.

📜 1986 — Expansion of Parish Property

Additional land secured through the initiative of Rev. Fr. Raju John, ensuring future growth.

⛪ 1991 — New Diocesan Leadership

Thomas Mor Themotheous assumed charge as Metropolitan and encouraged the parish to construct a permanent church.

🧱 1992–1995 — Construction Begins

Fundraising and construction initiated under Rev. Fr. Wilson Jacob and continued by successive Vicars, steadily shaping the church structure.

✨ Early 2000s — Completion & Consecration

Church completed under Kuriakose Mor Eusebius.
Holy Mooron Khudasha performed on 24 Sept 2003 by Baselios Thomas I.

🎓 2000s — Educational Mission

During the tenure of Rev. Fr. Philip Vaidyan, the parish school grew into St. Mary's Public School.
Later, Rev. Fr. Bobby George oversaw construction of the church’s second floor.

🌿 Present Day — Renewed Growth

Under Rev. Fr. Joseph Vazhayil, parish life has flourished through new ministries, a new parsonage, and cemetery land at Hadapsar.
